Lisa and Gregg
Some final photos from last week's trip to Afognak. We returned from the trip over a week ago now, and events from the trip are well on their way to becoming memories.
On this trip Lisa and Gregg joined us for the last 2 days. It's been almost 3 years since they last visited us out on Afognak. Last time they visited us we went deer hunting. This year it was all about finding morel mushrooms. Sadly we did not any of the tasty mushrooms - I think we were a wee bit early. But we did try eating seaweed, beach spinach, lovage, nettles, and even some rhubarb still growing in an old garden that had not been tended in over 50 years.
Then on the way back to town from Afognak Gregg and I had the whaler engine go kaput way out in the middle of the bay and had to ignominiously get towed back to town. Now that'll be a lasting memory for sure!
