Last week I looked at pictures of Zoya's camping spot on Sheratin and thought, 'hmmm, there's enough flat snow for some good skate skiing.' And so yesterday I hiked up and went skate skiing. In the intervening week it had melted some, but it was still good. I still had an area that is bigger than what I generally ski on the golf course. I created a 3K or so loop and had at it for an hour. The snow was soft corn, but quite fast. I may even take Stuey up there for another ski.
