Still Warm
It's been warm lately. My nasturtiums are still blooming and Stuey even noticed a lone rose bloom on a bush with all dead leaves. During the day the temperature still occasionally reaches 50 degrees, but we have had a few hard frosts. And yesterday the mountains near town were covered with a layer of termination dust. On Monday it even sleeted briefly while I crossed the Safeway parking lot. Winter is coming - it just comes slowly on Kodiak. Also given that our weather seems to come in 4 to 6 week cycles - a warm fall means that early winter will be super cold. I'm enjoying the last warm days of 2013. Patrick
