Our friends Ray and Julie were married this past February in a beautiful Eagle River Alaska setting. I was unable to make it (it was just weeks after Stuart was born) but Julie shared her wonderful photos with us.
Julie borrowed our goat fur boots and gloves (see in photos). Patrick had the boots and gloves made by a local skin sewer (Susie Malutin) for my birthday several years ago. They are from a goat he shot. The fur gave her wedding attire an Alaskan touch- and I was excited to have her wear something from Kodiak in her wedding.
If I remember correctly, the weather was quite cold on their wedding day-10 degrees or colder. It was quite a cold snap throughout Alaska!!
You can see Julie making a mad dash from the outhouse to the yurt (where the reception was held) in her goat boots!
