O'Malley Lake Survey

We got back from our Karluk and O'Malley Lakes survey late last night - time for a quick blogpost. I'll write more later about what we did, and what we discovered. But first a little eye candy to whet your appetite. Hard to believe but we had good weather down on the west side. Hot and flat calm - followed by cool and windy (when it was pouring here in town). It never rained hard the whole time we were down there.

Anyway the top two pictures are of the mountains reflecting in Karluk Lake. We brought an inflatable raft to survey the shorelines of the lake, and even paddled across Karluk Lake. That is one big lake. The next photo shows our camp in the dawn light. Finally the last photo is a panoramic of the entire lake. Patrick
