Loving Life

I can not complain – snow-wise it has been a good winter and GREAT spring. We have lot of snow. Today when I went skiing up the upper Buskin I experienced powder conditions. That rarely happens in April. We have about a foot of snow at our house and I gather there is over 4 feet of snow on the ground at sea level over at Anton Larsen Bay. Wow! It seems more like early March than early April. I intend to enjoy it while it lasts.

Unfortunately, the intrepid skiers' dogs destroyed the excellent classic track up the Buskin River. 8-(

Dogs in the ski tracks has never bothered me - as long as they don't chase the deer! I always used to take my dog skiing with me - and it always makes me very happy to see other people out with their dogs. It's what makes us different from Anchorage and the groomed trails. I'd be out there with my dogs if they weren't such inveterate deer chasers.
